Kaizen - Taken from the Japanese words kai and zen where kai means change and zen means good. The popular meaning is continual improvement. For the Allegro team, it means giving continual improvement a shot of adrenaline. Hence the name Fast Forward Kaizen. By combining our experience in the General Electric Work-Out process with our Six Sigma and Lean analytical skills we achieve both speed and results.
For the Kaizen event itself, we have structured the session around the DMAIC process. This makes it easier for your staff to replicate the process on their own for future improvement. It also insures that your teams make it to the Control phase during the Kaizen. All too often, we see remnants of past improvement sessions scattered across a company. Without thinking about Control, once the initial exuberance of the Kaizen wears off, the process drifts back to its old state. Allegro starts with control in mind to insure your company reaps sustained benefits from its Kaizen activities. |
