A native of Albany, NY with over 17 years of professional experience, Erika attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she received a bachelors degree in Computer and Systems Engineering. Upon graduation, she relocated to Atlanta where she spent four years working for Rockwell International, and then to Boston where she spent 10 years at Raytheon Company. While at Raytheon, she was the first Raytheon Six Sigma Champion for the Air and Missile Defense Systems business unit. In that role, she led a team of "experts" in using continuous improvement tools across all business functions to generate more than $50 million in savings over a two-year period.
Erika returned to her roots in the Capital Region of New York in the year 2000, where she initiated her own independent consulting practice. Additionally she worked as a business advisor for the Albany, NY Manufacturing Extension Partnership where she was instrumental in bringing the center's Lean Enterprise and 360vu consulting services on-line. She has provided training on Lean Enterprise concepts to several hundred employees and facilitated kaizen and implementation activities for more than 20 companies. |
